System Development Charges and Wastewater Discharge Rights

Payment of the System Development Charge "SDC" provides to a property owner the right to discharge its sanitary sewer wastestream into the District system in accordance with the District's Rules and Regulations and the requirements of State and Federal wastewater regulatory agencies. This right is called a Wastewater Discharge Right or "WDR".  The "SDC" is based upon either the size of the water meter serving the parcel for commercial properties or per single family dwelling unit for residential properties.

System Development Charges are effective until further notice and are subject to review and change periodically by the Board of Directors.  A standby WDR fee will be billed each month after purchase of the WDR until the water meter is set.  After the water meter is set, then the District's applicable monthly sanitary sewer charge is billed.

   District Planning

The North Front Range Water Quality Planning Association recently approved the District's Utility Plan (planning document)  This plan is an outline of infrastructure improvements that are needed or required by the issuance of the District's Discharge Permit (NPDES). Funding has been approved for the design and construction of improvements to the wastewater treatment facility.
